Northern soul charity club night of dancing at Factory Floor in Neepsend.
Loaded Fries Club are bringing a Northern Soul night to Factory Floor on Thursday 22 October, with the music starting at 20:00 and running through to Friday 23 October. It's a charity night, so the dancing doubles as a fundraiser.
Northern Soul is a clubbing culture built around fast, uptempo soul records from the 60s, mostly American B-sides that never quite hit the charts but found a second life on the dancefloors of the North. It's a scene defined by the records themselves and the dancing that goes with them, and that's the focus here: a night of soul and dancing in the Neepsend industrial area.
Factory Floor is over in Neepsend, at 92 Burton Rd, Sheffield S3 8BX. It's a bit of a trek from the city centre, but it's a proper warehouse space that suits this kind of night. The music kicks off at 20:00 on Thursday and keeps going into Friday morning, so you've got plenty of room to settle in.

Tickets start from £7.50 via ra.co, and since it's a charity night, your entry goes toward the cause. It's a mid-week one, so if you're planning to stay late, keep that in mind. Doors open at 20:00 at Factory Floor, 92 Burton Rd, Neepsend, S3 8BX.
