La Luna Social Club returns to Hagglers Corner on Friday 4 December for its twenty-sixth edition. It's a social club night built on music and conversation, and this one lands at 586 Queens Road, S2 4DU, in the heart of Sheffield.
The club describes itself as a community of people who know how to have fun, where 'love is always in the air' and the dancefloor fills with what its regulars call 'sheer disco-fabulation'. If you've been before, you'll know the drill: it's as much about the people and the chatting as it is about the music, with the disco side of things taking over as the night gets going.
Hagglers Corner is a good fit for it. It's an independent venue on Queens Road that runs a broad bill of live music, comedy nights, art exhibitions and private hire, so it's a bit of a hub for local culture and entertainment around this part of the city.
