Halloween techno and tech house takeover of Hagglers Corner, headlined by Jay Carder and Gideon Jackson.
Grub x Hagglers is taking over Hagglers Corner on Saturday 31 October for a Halloween party that runs from 19:00 until 02:30. It's presented by Control and spreads across three rooms, with the whole night built around techno and tech house given a spooky twist for the date. The venue holds 350, so it's a full takeover rather than a single room.
The Attikk room is handed over to Control, fronted by Jay Carder, whose take on deep and left-field techno is the night's main draw. He's joined by Gideon Jackson, and the two head the bill together. The rest of the line-up is filled out by a roster of local Sheffield DJs: Aaron Dynamic, Joi L.F, Freddie Grisbi, TB-316, The Doobskins, Flutter, Wow, Dennis Roswell, and Miss Sixty Muad'Dib Norma Robyn Jade. Between the headliners and the local support, the music runs for seven and a half hours.
It's a long one, so you can drift between the rooms across the evening. The Attikk room is the Control-led side of things, with Carder's deep techno at the front of it, while the other rooms keep the techno and tech house going throughout. With the spooky theme tied to the Halloween date, it's a full night of dance music rather than a quick in-and-out.
