Live show by Americana singer-songwriter Jill Andrews at The Greystones in Sheffield.
Jill Andrews plays The Greystones on Thursday 12 November, with doors opening at 7:30pm and the music starting at 8:00pm. She's an Americana singer-songwriter who co-founded the indie folk band The Everybodyfields and the duo Hush Kids before going solo, and her work has always stayed rooted in her East Tennessee home.
If you've come across her through the TV, you've probably heard her without knowing it. Her songs have appeared on Grey's Anatomy, This is Us, The Good Wife, Nashville and Wynonna Earp, so there's a good chance her voice is already familiar, even if you've never seen her live. She's also spent plenty of time collaborating with other names from the Americana and folk world, including the Avett Brothers, Langhorne Slim, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors and the Secret Sisters.
Her more recent work came in the form of Thirties, a 2020 album paired with a book, followed by the EP Ellen in October 2021. These two releases sit alongside a career that's built on that same Tennessee folk foundation, and this is a solo bill, so it'll be her voice and her songs taking up the whole night. She now lives in Nashville with her husband Jerred and their children, Nico and Falcon.
