Stand-up show 'Nada' in which Ignacio Lopez builds a unique show from scratch in front of the audience, based on his background and suggestions from the crowd.
Ignacio Lopez is at The Steamworks on Wednesday 20 October, bringing his show Nada to Sheffield. You might recognise the name from Live at the Apollo and QI, but this isn't a polished, road-worn set. He's billing Nada as his most ambitious project yet, and the hook is that he builds the whole thing from scratch right in front of you.
It's a bit of a comedy experiment: he takes the room's suggestions and weaves them into a brand-new, completely unique stand-up show on the night. So, the set you see in Sheffield won't be the same one he does anywhere else. He's drawing on his upbringing in Mallorca and South Wales, and everything he's picked up performing since 2010, and shaping it around whatever the crowd throws his way.
It's not entirely untested ground, though. Nada was staged at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe, so it's had a run in Scotland before making its way here. The format means you're watching the show come together in real time, rather than just sitting through a routine he's got down to a science. If you've seen him on TV, this is a different way of seeing him work.
