Free live music night at The Harlequin with My Precious Bunny, Shelley Byron and Posturing.
My Precious Bunny plays The Harlequin on Friday 27 November, with Shelley Byron and Posturing on the bill. The night is put on by HQ Live.
My Precious Bunny is the solo project of Lily Wolter, one half of the dream-pop duo Penelope Isles, and she's playing it out in full band form here. She describes her music as sun-faded, sprawling and deeply alive, intimate and cinematic and heavy with nostalgia and motion. It's a bit of a shift from the duo format, so this is a good chance to hear the songs played out with a full band behind her.
Sharing the bill are Shelley Byron, whose melancholy pop draws on broken hearts and night skies, and Posturing, who play despondent pop ballads from an optimist that combine Carol King-inspired songwriting with shoegaze and emo sensibilities. Between the three, it's a night that leans into the melodic and the melancholic, with a fair bit of ground covered across the different sets.
