A Halloween tea party for mums and their dogs, with treats, drinks and activities, hosted by Ruby and Sophia's Dog Bakery.
Ruby and Sophia's Dog Bakery are hosting a Halloween Dog Tea Party at Cambridge Street Collective on Sunday 18 October, from 11:00 to 12:00. It's a tea party for mums and their dogs, and the whole thing is built around the dog being the guest of honour. Your dog gets its own plate of dog-safe treats and afternoon tea, while you get tea and cake to go alongside. It's a simple enough setup, but the focus is firmly on the four-legged guest.
The venue is Cambridge Street Collective, the food hall on Backfields just off Devonshire Green in the city centre. It's got far more floor space than these sorts of things usually get, which is a practical point that actually matters when everyone's brought a dog and half of them are in costume. There's room for the dogs to be dogs without it feeling like a squeeze, so you can spend the hour watching them rather than worrying about who's bumping into whom.

As for the Halloween side of things, it's a low-key take on the season. The organisers describe it as the most purely enjoyable thing on the city's Halloween list and the only one where nobody is trying to frighten anybody. If you're not into the jump-scares and the horror, this is the alternative: just treats, drinks, and dogs in fancy dress. Tickets are £11.55, and it runs from 11:00 to 12:00 on the Sunday morning.
