Halloween cinema screening of the cult film 'The Lost Boys' at The Steamworks, with stone-baked pizzas, cocktails and mulled wine, for over-15s.
The Steamworks is screening The Lost Boys on Tuesday 27 October, part of their Halloween Cinema cycle. It's an '80s cult classic full of rebellious teens, leather jackets and a seaside town with a deadly secret, and the night is billed around the film's own tagline: 'Some friendships last forever. So do some appetites.'
It's a proper night in rather than just a quick trip to the cinema. Doors open at 6pm and the film starts at 7.30pm, so there's plenty of time to settle in before the opening credits roll. The whole evening runs for about five hours, which gives you space to hang around before and after without feeling rushed. Standard folding chairs are included in your ticket, and if you'd rather something a bit more substantial, deck chairs can be hired for an extra £3.
There's a full menu to keep you going throughout: stone-baked pizzas, cakes, cocktails, hot drinks, mulled wine and cider. Just keep in mind that no outside food or drink is allowed, so whatever you're after will come from the bar. It's a good spread for a cold October night, whether you're in the mood for something sweet or something to share between a few of you.
