Comedy club night at New Barrack Tavern on Penistone Road in Sheffield.
Funhouse Comedy Club is back at the New Barrack Tavern on Sunday 6 December, bringing another night of stand-up to the pub. It's a comedy club night in the usual sense: a line-up of comics taking turns on stage, rather than a single name carrying the whole evening. If you've been to a few of these, you know the drill — a few different voices in one go, so you're not relying on one person to hit the mark all night.
The New Barrack Tavern is on Penistone Road, over in the S6 part of Sheffield, so it's a bit of a trek if you're based in the city centre, but it's a proper local pub setting for a night of this. It's the kind of room where the comedy works best when it's leaning into the pub atmosphere rather than trying to feel like a theatre.

Doors open at 6:00pm, and the show starts at 7:00pm, which gives you plenty of time to get a drink in and find a spot before the first act kicks off. Tickets are £7.84, which includes the booking fee, so that's the total you'll be paying rather than a base price with something added on at the end. It's a Sunday night, too, so it's more of a wind-down than a late one — the show gets going at 7:00pm, and you'll be out well before the midnight run. If you're around the S6 area, it's an easy enough one to drop into.
