The 10th Anniversary UK Tour of the award-winning musical about a teenage boy who dreams of becoming a drag queen, with Kelle Bryan and Divina De Campo.
Everybody's Talking About Jamie is coming to the Lyceum from Monday 8 to Saturday 13 March 2027, as part of its 10th anniversary UK tour. It's a Sheffield story coming home to Sheffield, and the run is already sold out.
The show is a modern-day fairytale based on the true story of Jamie New, a sixteen-year-old living on a council estate in Sheffield who dreams of becoming a drag queen. Backed by his brilliant, loving mum and surrounded by friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice and bullies to become a sensation. It won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical, and it's a production that's travelled quite a way to get here: it follows a record-breaking three-year West End residency, two sold-out UK and Ireland tours, and an Amazon Studios film. This run is presented by Nica Burns as a Sheffield Theatres production.
On stage, Ashcon Rahmani takes the title role of Jamie New, with Rebecca Trehearn as his mum, Rebecca. The cast also includes Kelle Bryan and Divina De Campo, and the production is directed by Jonathan Butterell. The score was written by Dan Gillespie Sells, lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, and writer Tom MacRae, and for this anniversary tour they've added a brand-new song to the mix.
