Market of handmade and designed items, from jewellery and ceramics to textiles and woodwork, with no mass-produced goods.
Design & Make returns to Showroom Workstation on Saturday 28 November, from 11:00am to 4:00pm. It's a market run by Design & Make Social, and it positions itself as something other than your typical craft fair: a celebration of genuine craftsmanship where you meet the makers behind each piece. Every item is handmade and designed by the artists themselves, with no AI-generated designs or mass-produced goods. The stalls showcase one-of-a-kind pieces across handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, textiles, woodwork and art.
Because the makers are there in person, it's a good spot to talk through how things are made and see the work up close. The range covers a few different disciplines — jewellery, ceramics, textiles, woodwork and art — so you'll find a fair bit under one roof. The focus is on the individual piece rather than the mass-produced, and since everything is designed and made by the artists themselves, you're buying directly from the person who actually put the work in.
