Stand-up show of puns, improvised audience jokes and sound effects by Darren Walsh on his UK tour 'Do You Like Puns?'
Darren Walsh brings his show Do You Like Puns? to The Greystones on Wednesday 3 February, part of his first UK tour. He's billed as Britain's tallest pun-slinger, standing 8ft tall, and he's built his following on pun-based comedy, taking his act from Comic Relief to his viral Jokes on the Street series.
Do You Like Puns? is a show of one-liners, improvised audience puns, sound effects and AV madness. It's the same act that sold out London's Leicester Square Theatre, now out on the road. Walsh won Joke of the Edinburgh Fringe and was rated 'Punbelievable' by The Mirror, with The Sunday Express awarding the show four stars.
If you've come across his Jokes on the Street clips, this is the full-length version. The one-liners are the core, but the improvised puns mean he'll be working the room, so the set changes depending on who's in the crowd. The sound effects and AV are woven in rather than just sitting on top, and the whole thing is built around the pun. It's a night for anyone who enjoys a play on words and doesn't mind a bit of chaos around it.
