Cyber collective CYB3R marks its fifth anniversary with a party at Gut Level, headlined by gfoty and the CYB3R troupe.
Cyb3r are celebrating their fifth anniversary at Gut Level on Saturday 7 November, with gfoty headlining. It's a milestone for the collective, which has been bringing hyperpop, electronic and dance music to Sheffield since 2021.
If you're not familiar, Cyb3r is a queer artists' collective that started with a specific gap in mind: they wanted to give lovers of PC Music and hyperpop a place to party in the city, and they've spent the last five years building a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community around that. This night marks the half-decade point, and it's a bit of a reunion for the Cyb3r troupe. Alongside gfoty, you'll find founding members choose.life, bambismithmachine and poorspice, with lindsaylosam, artybaby and jordanwindows joining them.
Having gfoty on the bill is a nod to the collective's roots, too. gfoty was a founding member of PC Music, the very label that helped define the hyperpop sound Cyb3r set out to champion here in Sheffield. So it's a fitting choice for a fifth anniversary: a founding member of the original movement playing with the people who've been keeping that energy going in the city since 2021.
