Informal coffee and brunch morning hosted by Pete and Sharon W. for Sheffield IVC members at Groke Coffee in Kelham Island.
Groke Coffee is hosting a coffee and brunch morning on Tuesday 20 October, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. It's run by Pete and Sharon W. as part of Sheffield IVC, a friendly and informal social club affiliated with the Association of Intervarsity Clubs. The club runs a wide variety of social, cultural and sporting events, all staffed by volunteers.
If you've never come across them before, the IVC is a social club rather than a one-off event, and the coffee and brunch is just one of the things they put on. The club's activities cover a fair range of social, cultural and sporting events, so there's usually something on the go regardless of what you're into. Because it's run by volunteers, it's a community-led setup rather than a commercial one.
There's also a bit of a low-pressure way to get involved if you're not sure yet: prospective members can attend three events before a yearly fee of £10 is requested. That means you can drop in and see what the club is like without committing to anything upfront. If you do decide to stay on, the membership fee is £10 for the year.
