Free startup session on funding, grants and expansion strategies into Germany's Rheinisches Revier, co-hosted with NRW.Global Business.
Venture.Community is launching its expansion into Germany's Rheinisches Revier with a session at Pennine Five Campus on Wednesday 18 November. The event is called Coal to Code, and it's co-hosted with NRW.Global Business, the trade and investment agency for North Rhine-Westphalia.
The whole thing is framed around Venture.Community moving into Europe, with the Rheinisches Revier — the industrial heartland of western Germany — as the specific target for scaling. If you've been following the community, that's the big picture here: taking the network and the support system and planting it in a new region.
As for what actually happens on the day, the session keeps its focus on the practical side of growth. Funding, grants, and expansion strategies sit at the core of the programme, so it's less about the high-level theory and more about the mechanics of how a business actually moves into a new market. The presence of NRW.Global Business puts the German side of that equation front and centre, with the agency there to talk through the region's specific landscape.
