Chuck Ragan, co-frontman of Hot Water Music, performs his new album Love And Lore live at The Greystones.
Chuck Ragan plays The Greystones on Wednesday 20 January 2027, from 19:30 to 23:00. He's touring his new album, Love And Lore, and it's his first solo record in ten years.
Most people know him as one of the four in the Gainesville post-hardcore band Hot Water Music, where he's still the co-frontman. Since then, his career has gone in a few different directions: acclaimed solo releases, the influential Revival Tour, and even a fly-fishing business in California. Honesty and authenticity are the things he puts at the core of everything he does.
Love And Lore has been a long time coming. He started it back in 2016, but it faced a fair few delays along the way — the pandemic, family commitments, and other challenges — before he finally finished it in 2023. Todd Beene, George Rebelo, and Spencer Duncan all contributed to the record, and it pushes beyond Ragan's folk roots into richer arrangements and new sonic territory, while keeping the heartfelt songwriting that's defined his career. The songs look at family, relationships, personal struggle, and finding solace in nature.
