Free-entry Christmas yard sale with stalls of pre-loved festive finds, gifts and decorations, plus mulled wine and seasonal food at The Steamworks.
The Steamworks is hosting a Christmas Yard Sale on Sunday 29 November, from 10am to 3pm. It's a second-hand sale run out of the venue at 109-111 Randall Street in Highfield, and the whole point is to get a bit of Christmas sorted without spending a fortune.
On the day, you'll find stalls of pre-loved finds, unique gifts, stocking fillers and Christmas decorations. It's the kind of place where you can pick up a few things for the family and maybe something for yourself, all while keeping it budget-friendly. The bar will be open too, serving mulled wine, cider, warming hot drinks and seasonal cakes and food, so you can stop for a drink and a bite between browsing. The organisers are encouraging people to bring along unwanted decorations, gifts, toys and other treasures to find a new home, which means you can clear out your own cupboards, make a bit of extra Christmas spending money and keep pre-loved items out of landfill at the same time.
The setting fits the city's tradition of markets and fairs, which often reflect Sheffield's creative spirit and community connections. Venues like The Steamworks and Electric Works frequently host these gatherings against industrial-chic backdrops, celebrating both established traditions and emerging creativity. It's a good example of the kind of thing that keeps the city's market scene going.
