Hands-on Christmas wreath-making workshop led by florist Monica F Hewitt, with mulled wine and mince pies served.
Cutlers' Hall is hosting a Christmas wreath-making workshop on Thursday 3 December, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. It's a hands-on session led by Sheffield florist Monica F Hewitt, and you leave with your own handcrafted wreath to take home. All the materials and tools are provided, so you don't need to bring anything but yourself.
While you work, there's a glass of mulled wine and a traditional mince pie served, with Christmas music and the decorated hall setting the festive mood. It's the kind of evening that works as a solo treat or something to do with a friend before the proper December rush kicks in.
The workshop is run by The Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire, an organisation established in 1624 that's spent more than 400 years as a part of Sheffield and South Yorkshire's manufacturing heritage, and it still champions the region's manufacturing industries. Cutlers' Hall is one of the city's most prestigious venues for conferences, meetings, weddings and private events, and you can explore its history through guided tours led by the Hall's Beadle or Archivist.
