Traditional ceilidh night with music and dancing at The Edge in Endcliffe Student Village.
Ceilidh Soc are back with another ceilidh on Saturday 31 October, held at The Edge in Endcliffe Student Village. It's a session of traditional music and dancing, so it's as much about getting on your feet as it is about listening. If you've never been to a ceilidh before, that's exactly what it is: a night of folk tunes played live, with people dancing in pairs or groups around the room. It's a social one, and you don't need to know the steps to join in.
For those who do know their way around a dance floor, it's a good excuse to get out and use them. For everyone else, it's a chance to pick it up on the fly. The music provides the beat, and the dancing fills the rest. It's the kind of night that works whether you're coming with a group or turning up on your own and finding your way into the mix as the evening goes on.

It's taking place at The Edge, part of Endcliffe Student Village, so it's up in the west end of the city. Doors open at 7.45pm, and it's £5 pay on the door, so you can just turn up and pay when you arrive. If you're planning your Halloween weekend, this sits right on the 31st, so it's an easy one to slot in.
