A non-verbal family puppet adventure by Life and Limb Puppets, with stunning projections and an original score, for ages 6 and above.
At Sea comes to the Playhouse on Saturday 6 March 2027, a family puppet adventure from Life and Limb Puppets in association with Alphabetti Theatre. It's a non-verbal show, which is the first thing to get your head around: there's no dialogue to follow, so it works just as well for kids who aren't reading yet as it does for anyone who doesn't speak English as a first language.
The story follows a sailor whose heart compass has been stolen, a loss that sends him on an odyssey through a coral reef, a siren's lair and right down to the bottom of the ocean in search of his way back. Because there's no script to lean on, the production does its heavy lifting with stunning projections and an original score, letting the visuals and the music carry the narrative. It's recommended for ages 6 and up, and it runs for around an hour with no interval, so it's a manageable length for a family outing without the mid-show break to worry about.
