Fundraising club night with local DJs Ashley Holmes, Mer-Mee, MYNA and Wahala, a raffle and terrace stalls for Anti-Raids Sheffield.
Anti Raids Sheffield are back at Gut Level on Friday 20 November, with a fundraiser club night that runs from 8:00 pm through to 2:00 am on Saturday morning. It's the second edition of the night, and the organisers have been open about why they're doing it again: they had such a sick time with the first one last year that bringing it back was a no-brainer. The money raised goes to Anti Raids Sheffield, an anti-racist and anti-authoritarian group.
The music is the main draw, and the line-up is a stacked one of local talent. Ashley Holmes, Mer-Mee, MYNA, and Wahala are all on the bill, so there's a good stretch of the night covered. It's a club night, not a seated gig, so the plan is to keep things moving across the dancefloor rather than just one act after another.
There's more to it than just the DJs, though. Partway through the night there's a raffle, and the terrace will have stalls run by local groups with anti-racist and anti-authoritarian politics, so you can browse and chat between sets. It's a fundraiser, so the whole thing is built around supporting the group and the wider scene.
