A nostalgic 90s and 00s pop and dance disco with resident DJs, 90s-style dress, a buffet and a late bar until 1am.
The OEC brings back The 90s & 00s Party on Saturday 9 January, a night built around the pop and dance hits of two decades. Resident DJs will be working through the era, with Britney Spears, the Spice Girls, the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and Destiny's Child listed as the kind of names they'll be playing. It's a nostalgic set that spans the 1990s and the 2000s, so it pulls from both the Britpop and teen-pop of the former and the dance-pop and R&B of the latter.
There's a dress code encouraged, too: 90s or 00s-inspired style. If you've got old gear from either decade still in the wardrobe, this is a good excuse to dig it out. The night is aimed at anyone who grew up with a Discman or an iPod, so it's geared towards the crowd that spent their teenage years swapping CDs or building playlists on an early MP3 player.

Beyond the music, the ticket covers a themed disco and a late bar that stays open until 1am, along with a buffet and free parking. It's an over-16s night, so it works for a younger crowd as well as those who actually remember the era. The OEC is at Owlerton Sports Stadium on Penistone Road, Sheffield S6 2DE, and the whole thing runs from 7pm to 11:30pm, with the bar continuing until 1am. Entry is £8.
