Screening of the documentary 6+1: All We Gain from What We Lost, followed by a post-screening panel discussion and Q&A with director Lando Vandross and members of the 6+1 Running Club.
Showroom is screening 6+1: All We Gain from What We Lost on Friday 16 October, with a panel discussion and Q&A to follow. The film is about the 6+1 Running Club, and the director, Lando Vandross, will be there alongside members of the club itself to talk through it afterwards.
The film traces the club's early days, when numbers were low and self-doubt ran high, and follows it to the point where running became a form of therapy for the people involved. From there, it opens up into conversations about anxiety, depression and loss. It's described as part mental-health story and part community portrait, and at its heart it's about what happens when people show up for each other.
Because the club members are there in person, the Q&A isn't just about the making of the film; it's a chance to hear from the people the story is actually about. The screening is part of Showroom's Black History Month 2026 programme, so it sits within a wider month of events around the city.
