World premiere of the BritRock Film Tour, with four new UK climbing and adventure films introduced by Al Lee.
The BritRock Film Tour returns to Sheffield on Thursday 5 November, with its world premiere taking place at the Auditorium, Sheffield Students' Union on Western Bank. This is the tour's 13th year, and it brings together a selection of new climbing and adventure films from across the UK.
The night is hosted and introduced by Al Lee, who'll be on hand to set the scene for each film. He's joined by guest appearances from the athletes whose stories make up the programme, so you'll see some of the people from the screen in the room. The lineup runs through four films: Inside the Mountain (30 mins, by Jack Homan), Beyond (25 mins, by Ben Menashe), DreamRime (20 mins, by Al Lee), and Journey To The End Of The Ego (40 mins, by Al Lee). Between them, they cover a good range of climbing and adventure, from shorter pieces to the longer Journey To The End Of The Ego.
The whole thing runs for 150 minutes, including an interval, so it's a full evening rather than a quick stop. The bar opens at 18:00, with last orders at 19:00, so there's plenty of time to get a drink in before the first film starts. The screening itself runs from 19:00 to 22:30.
