A hands-on workshop to learn how to make fresh handmade fettuccine and pesto pasta.
Sip House is hosting a fresh handmade pasta workshop on Friday, October 16, at 7 PM. The focus of the night is fettuccine and pesto, and you'll be making both from scratch.
It's a hands-on session, so you'll be working the dough yourself rather than just watching. You'll go through the process of making fresh fettuccine—rolling it out and cutting it into those long, flat ribbons—and then you'll put together a fresh pesto to go with it. By the time the night wraps up, you'll have the two components of a classic pasta dish you made with your own hands.
Sip House is a Vietnamese coffee shop in the University District, located at 5001 Brooklyn Avenue Northeast. The interior is minimalist and light-filled, and the shop is dedicated to high-quality Robusta coffee traditions, with roots in the Central Highland region of Vietnam. It's a coffee spot by day, so seeing it shift into a pasta workshop on a Friday night is a bit of a departure from its usual rhythm.
