Southern California reggae rock band Tribal Seeds perform live at The Sound, Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Tribal Seeds are playing The Sound on Thursday, December 31, 2027, bringing their Southern California reggae rock to San Diego on New Year's Eve. The band was formed in the mid-2000s by brothers Steven and Tony-Ray Jacobo, and they've been working in the reggae rock space ever since.
They debuted with a self-titled album in 2008, which earned a spot as one of iTunes' Best Reggae Albums. That was followed in 2009 by The Harvest, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. In 2011, their EP Soundwaves peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Reggae Charts. Over the years, they've shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the genre, including the Wailers, Stephen Marley, and Rebelution. Their setlists usually lean on songs like "Love Psalm," "Vampire," and "Run The Show."

The show is at The Sound, a multi-use venue at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. It's the same site that hosts the San Diego County Fair and the Del Mar Live Race Meet, and it puts on more than 300 events every year. Since it's New Year's Eve, it's a good one to keep in mind if you're planning where to be when the clock strikes midnight.
