If you've come across the name recently, it's likely from "I Only Smoke When I Drink," the 2024 track that's passed 250 million streams, charted on the UK Singles Chart, and spent over 20 weeks on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Chart. That was followed by the Creek EP in March 2025. Behind the alias is Milo Evans, who started making music as a teenager in the UK to channel his ADHD, beginning with loop-stitching on an Asus laptop. His first release came in 2013—a slow-motion, bass-inflected take on the Pixies' "Where Is My Mind"—which earned him Huffington Post's "Artist of the Month." Later, he launched the series songs for people you may know, which produced the 2022 track "Opening Credits." He describes the nimino character as a symbol for the journey of his musical tastes.
