Award-winning comedy and drag icons Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme bring their acclaimed holiday show to Balboa Theatre.
Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme bring The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show to the Balboa Theatre on Tuesday, December 29, 2026. It's one stop on a tour that hits 30 cities across the US and Canada, and the duo are approaching their tenth anniversary as a pair.
If you've never seen it, the show is a bit of a moving target. BenDeLaCreme writes, directs, and produces it, with additional writing from Jinkx Monsoon, and they reinvent it every year. Since it launched in 2018, each edition has been an entirely original story that mixes comedy, live music, theatrical spectacle, and their drag sensibility. Over the last nine years, they've met sentient Christmas treats, twisted space-time with Dickensian ghosts, ventured into the Nutcracker's Land of Sweets, and survived rogue AI, body swaps, and elf attacks. This 2026 run is the show's eighth touring production.
Individually, they're two of the biggest names to come out of RuPaul's Drag Race. BenDeLaCreme was a fan favorite on All Stars 3 and runs BenDeLaCreme Presents to champion queer and trans talent. Jinkx Monsoon is a two-time Drag Race winner who has starred in Broadway hits like Chicago and Oh, Mary!. Together, Entertainment Weekly called them the 'reigning queens of Christmas,' and The New York Times described the show as 'a queer, clever, and heartfelt Christmas show that keeps getting bigger.'

The San Diego performance is at 7 PM, with doors opening an hour before the show. It's a Tuesday night, so if you're planning to be in the city between Christmas and New Year's, it's one of the few big things happening that week.
