Multi-day fundraising walk to end breast cancer, with 1, 2 or 3-day routes through San Diego neighborhoods, finishing with a Finish Line Festival.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day kicks off at Balboa Park on Friday, November 13, and runs through Sunday, November 15. It's a fundraising walk to end breast cancer, and you get to choose your own distance: 60 miles over three days, 40 over two, or 20 in a single day. Each option comes with its own fundraising minimum, so you can pick the one that fits your pace and your goals.
The route takes you along the Pacific Coast Highway past Del Mar, Torrey Pines, and Mission Bay. There are pit stops, medical support, and volunteer crew stationed along the way, and if you're doing the multi-day options, you'll spend the night at an outdoor camp at Sunset Point Park. Each day opens with a ceremony, and the whole thing wraps up with a Finish Line Festival and Closing Ceremony that honor those lost, those still fighting, and the survivors.
Organizers call the community of walkers, crew, and volunteers the "Pink Bubble," and it's a big part of the experience. The 3-Day evolved from the Race for the Cure in 2018 and has since grown into the organization's largest fundraising event series, drawing more than 100,000 participants across more than 40 in-person walks throughout the US. Since 2003, the 3-Day has raised more than $927 million to fund research, care, and advocacy for metastatic breast cancer.
