NWSL quarterfinal match between San Diego Wave FC and Utah Royals FC at Snapdragon Stadium.
San Diego Wave FC takes on Utah Royals FC at Snapdragon Stadium on Friday, November 6, for a NWSL Quarterfinal. It's a single-elimination match, so there's no second chance: the winner moves on to the Semifinals, and the loser goes home.
Wave FC enters the match as the No. 2 seed. In the 2026 NWSL Playoffs, eight teams make the cut, and home-field advantage is decided by seeding. The No. 1 seed hosts the No. 8, the No. 2 hosts the No. 7, the No. 3 hosts the No. 6, and the No. 4 hosts the No. 5. Because they're the No. 2 seed, Wave FC could host up to two home playoff matches on their way through the bracket.
This isn't new territory for the club. San Diego Wave FC has made the playoffs in four of the last five seasons, so they're well-acquainted with this part of the calendar. If they take care of business here, they'll be one step closer to the NWSL Championship, which is set for Saturday, November 21, at 5 PM at Audi Field in Washington, D.C.
