8th annual fundraiser for migraine awareness with a 1.5-mile walk, 5K run, speakers and a festival area at Balboa Park.
Miles for Migraine returns to Balboa Park on Saturday, November 7, for its 8th annual fundraiser for migraine and headache awareness, treatment and research. It's a morning that works for a few different speeds: there's a 1.5-mile walk, a 5K run, and a Relax option for those who'd rather just be part of the day without the distance. The walk kicks off at 9:30 AM PST.
Beyond the walk and run, the morning fills out as a festival. Speakers take the stage throughout the day, and local sponsors hold court in a festival area. There's also a Relax tentβa quiet spot to sit or color if you need a break from the crowd. Every finisher walks away with a medal, and participants are encouraged to wear purple.
The money raised supports the organization's free programs and services, as well as the UCI Health Headache Center, which backs local migraine research and fellowship training. This year's San Diego edition is presented by Pfizer, with Lundbeck, AbbVie, Amneal, Axsome, Salma Health and Teva among the sponsors.
