25th edition of the film festival, with screenings, panels, galas and special events across the city.
The San Diego International Film Festival returns from October 13 to 18, with AMC 14 at Westfield UTC as its main venue and other screenings spread across the city. This is the festival's 25th edition, a milestone they're marking by honoring filmmaking from around the world. Over the course of the week, more than 100 films will be presented, so there's plenty to choose from regardless of how much time you can carve out.
The program kicks off on October 14 with an opening night film and a premiere party. From there, the screenings are joined by panels, galas, and special events that run throughout the city, so the festival isn't just about sitting in a dark theater—there are plenty of chances to hear from the people behind the films. To celebrate the anniversary, Belly Up is hosting a '25 Years After Dark' party, adding a night out to the mix of screenings and panels.
