Diplo's Run Club 5K

Diplo's Run Club returns to Gallagher Square on Saturday, November 21, 2026, pairing a 5K road race with a post-race concert. It's the same format as last year, which sold out, so if you're planning on it, you'll want to get your spot early. The race starts at 9 AM, and the course is described as fast and flat, open to more than 10,000 participants.

The run starts and finishes at Gallagher Square, which is inside Petco Park at 840 K St, and takes you through the historic Gaslamp Quarter. Once you've crossed the finish line, the second half of the day kicks in: Diplo and friends play a concert at the main stage. It's a race and a show in one, so you can run the 5K and then hang out for the music.

Diplo is no stranger to San Diego. He's played here before, at Nova San Diego and the Mad Decent Block Party, and the city has a deep electronic music scene that fits right in with what he does. This event is part of his broader Run Malibu running community, and the San Diego stop is a return after that first sold-out year.

If you're in, there are a couple of dates to keep straight. Packet pick-up is on Friday, November 20, from 12 PM to 5 PM, so you can get your gear the day before and not have to worry about it on race morning. Then the 5K starts at 9 AM on Saturday, November 21, followed by the concert at the main stage. Both the run and the show happen at Gallagher Square at Petco Park.
