If you're not familiar, Kabaka Pyramid is a Grammy Award-winning Jamaican artist who blends reggae, hip hop, and dancehall. He's widely seen as one of the key pillars of the Reggae Revival, the movement that brought a more conscious, roots-oriented sound back to the forefront of Jamaican music over the last decade. Born Keron Salmon in Kingston, he first emerged with Rebel Music in 2011 and has toured extensively since then with The Bebble Rockers.
His 2022 album, The Kalling, took home the Grammy for Best Reggae Album, and he's worked with some of the biggest names in the genre: Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley, Stephen Marley, Protoje, Chronixx, and Buju Banton. Beyond the Grammy, he also picked up the Caribbean Music Awards for Best Reggae Album and was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year by the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association.
