Allison Adams Tucker (Allegato Italia Trio)

Allison Adams Tucker is playing at the Little Italy Food Hall on Sunday, October 18, as part of the Bella Vita Fest. She'll be performing with her Allegato Italia Trio, and the set is world jazz. It's a Sunday afternoon show, starting at 1:30 PM.

If you're not familiar with her, Tucker is a San Diego-based multi-lingual vocalist, bandleader, and composer who's been singing since before she could speak. She's worked across a wide range of genres—a cappella, punk, folk, and jingles—but fell in love with jazz in 2005. Since then, she's released four critically acclaimed albums and three EPs. Come With Me (2008) was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the San Diego Music Awards; April in Paris (2014) was recorded in Paris on UNESCO's first International Jazz Day; Wanderlust (2016) was recorded in New York with Grammy-winning producer Matt Pierson; and the RETRO Trilogy (2023), also with Pierson, earned another Best Jazz Album nomination.

She's a five-time Best Jazz nominee at the San Diego Music Awards and a four-star artist at Downbeat Magazine. Her voice has appeared on national commercials and on the soundtrack for the video game The Saboteur, alongside Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, and Madeleine Peyroux. For this particular date, she's bringing her Allegato Italia Trio to the Bella Vita Fest in Little Italy, where they'll be playing world jazz.
