Live show by Sparta, the alternative rock and post-hardcore band from El Paso, Texas, at The Urban Lounge.
Sparta are playing The Urban Lounge in Salt Lake City on Thursday, November 5. It's a single-bill night, so they're the only act on the program.
If you're not familiar with them, Sparta is an American band from El Paso, Texas, formed in 2001. Their sound sits at the crossroads of alternative rock and post-hardcore, which usually means a mix of melodic hooks and the heavier, more driving energy that comes from the post-hardcore side of things. They've been around since the early 2000s, so they've got a fair amount of catalog to pull from for a single set.
Coming from El Paso, they've spent over two decades working within that alternative rock space. The post-hardcore influence is where the edge comes inβthe kind of sound that can lean into a louder, more aggressive side while still keeping the songs grounded in melody. It's a style that works as well in a loud room as it does on a record, and that's exactly where you'll hear it on this date.

Beyond the show itself, there's a meet & greet option available, so if you're the kind of person who likes to say hello and get a photo after the set, that's something you can add on. The concert is on Thursday, November 5, at The Urban Lounge here in Salt Lake City.
