Trans-Siberian Orchestra plays 'The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO and More', its 30th-anniversary winter tour, at the Delta Center.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra returns to the Delta Center on Tuesday, November 24, with The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO and More. It's part of their 30th-anniversary winter tour, and for this run they've reimagined the staging of The Ghosts of Christmas Eve, the rock opera based on the 1996 project by the group's late creator, lyricist and composer Paul O'Neill. The show is split into two parts: the rock opera itself, paired with lasers, pyrotechnics and special effects, and a high-energy second set.
TSO has returned to Salt Lake City every tour since its first visit in 2003, and at least one dollar from every ticket sold goes to local charities—a commitment that's put hundreds of thousands of dollars back into the community. In 2024, the group announced it had sold more than 20 million tickets and distributed over $20 million to charities.
Much of the set comes from O'Neill's catalog. His signature hit "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24" is the third best-selling holiday digital single in music history, with more than 300 million global streams and a 3x Platinum certification. It's joined by the Pachelbel-inspired "Christmas Canon," which has over 250 million streams, and fan favorites like "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Mad Russian Christmas," "Wizards in Winter" and "Requiem (the Fifth)."
