Monthly 'wiggle-friendly' series of dance, theatre, music and storytelling performances for children and families by Repertory Dance Theatre.
Repertory Dance Theatre brings Ring Around the Rose to the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 17, at 11 AM. It's part of their 2026-2027 season, and it's a series they've built specifically for children and families. Each show runs about an hour, so it fits into a Saturday morning without taking over the whole day.
What makes it work for families is that it's "wiggle-friendly." RDT describes it as a way to introduce young audiences to the arts through dance, theatre, music and storytelling, all in one go. The title itselfโRing Around the Roseโpoints toward that mix, and the hour-long length keeps things moving fast enough to hold a kid's attention. It's not a single performance but a series, so if you miss this one, there's another date coming up on the second Saturday of the month.
There are a few practical things to keep in mind if you're bringing little ones. Children two and under are free, but they still need a ticket. Infants being held don't need one. And if you're using ArtTix, the ticket doubles as a full-fare UTA transit pass on the day of the show, which is a nice perk if you're taking the bus or train into the city.
