Rainbow Read In

The Rainbow Read In returns to the Student Writing And Read Center (SWRC) on Thursday, October 22, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. It's the center's annual celebration of LGBTQ+ voices, and the format is pretty straightforward: people gather to read texts by queer writers and poets, and the whole afternoon is built around celebrating and supporting the voices of the queer community.

If you're a reader, you don't have to just sit in the audience. Anyone interested in reading can sign up in advance, so if there's a piece by a queer writer or poet that's been sticking with you, this is a good place to read it out loud. The afternoon is open to everyone, whether you're coming to read or just to listen.

It's held at the South City Campus of Salt Lake Community College, in the Student Writing And Read Center (SWRC), room 1-137. The event runs from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, and snacks are served.
