Indie-pop duo New Constellations play Soundwell SLC with support from Vox Rea on the It Comes In Waves Tour.
New Constellations play Soundwell on Monday, October 26, as part of their It Comes In Waves North American Tour. They're an indie-pop duo from Portland, Oregon, made up of lifelong friends Harlee Case and Josh Smith. The show starts at 7 PM at Soundwell SLC, 149 W 200 S in Salt Lake City, with Vox Rea opening.
The set is built around It Comes In Waves, their studio debut, a thirteen-track album released through Nettwerk Music Group in May 2026. It followed a few years of singles: "Think It Over" in 2022 and "Your Own Parade" in 2023. The record runs from ethereal dream-pop to full-blown dance-pop, and the band's sound sits at the intersection of 80s revival, bedroom pop, dream pop, and synth pop. If you've been following them since the singles, this is the first time you'll hear the full album played through.
Most people know them from "Hot Blooded," a 2021 single that became an unexpected breakout. It racked up more than 150 million streams after actor Pedro Pascal used it for an Instagram video, and their NPR Tiny Desk submission drew over 1.6 million views. That one song put them on the map well before the full album arrived, and it's the kind of track that usually finds its way into a live set alongside the newer material.
