Alt rock and punk band GANG! play Soundwell in Salt Lake City, with Waterparks as the supporting act.
GANG! play Soundwell on Tuesday, October 27, with Waterparks opening the night. It's a double bill that puts two bands on the same stage, one following the other.
GANG! work in alt rock and punk, and they carry a tagline on their artist profile that sets the tone: "GANG! IS THE WORST BAND OF ALL TIME." The line is attributed to Tony Hawk, and they've kept it front and center rather than hiding it. It's the kind of self-deprecating joke that fits the punk side of their sound, and it's a good shorthand for the kind of energy they bring to a show.
Waterparks open for them, so you'll get two sets in one night. Between the two, the bill covers a fair bit of ground across alt rock and punk, and with the show starting at 7 PM, there's plenty of room for both bands to play their full sets without rushing through. If you've followed either act, it's a chance to see them together in the same room.
