An improvised musical comedy show in which the audience's suggestions inspire the songs, the story and the humor.
Les Humorables are bringing their improvised musical to Quick Wits Comedy Lab on Saturday, October 24, for a Halloween-themed show. It's an improv act that stages an entire musical on the spot, and the whole thing is built from the room: the audience's suggestions inspire the songs, the story, and the humor as the show unfolds. Since nothing is scripted, the plot and the music are made up in front of you, so you're seeing it come together in real time.
Because it's an improvised musical, the audience has a direct hand in what happens. The performers take suggestions from the crowd and build a full story around them, writing the songs and the dialogue as they go. That's the core of the act—the songs and the story aren't pre-written, so the direction the night takes depends on what the room brings to the table. The Halloween theme adds another layer to the mix, and the whole thing is built on the fly.
