Eighth edition of Salt Lake City's indie rock festival, with headliners Deftones, The Strokes, Fontaines D.C., Slayyyter, Jungle and Lil Yachty across three days.
Kilby Block Party returns to the Utah State Fairpark from May 14 to 16, 2027. This is the festival's eighth edition, and it's taking over three days in Salt Lake City with 70 artists across the bill. The headliners are Deftones, The Strokes, Fontaines D.C., Slayyyter, Jungle, and Lil Yachty.
Beyond those six, the lineup fills out with a wide spread of names. Spoon, Weyes Blood, Hot Chip, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Kim Gordon, Atlas Sound, Iceage, Erika de Casier, Grace Ives, Ratboys, Quiet Light, and Greg Freeman are all on the bill. It's a mix of indie rock, electronic, and a bit of everything in between, so you can spend your weekend jumping between stages rather than sticking to one sound.
If you're new to the festival, it started as a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kilby Court, the indie venue that gives the party its name. Since then, it's grown into Salt Lake City's signature indie rock gathering. Last year's edition was headlined by Lorde, the xx, and Turnstile, and it brought in 16,000 out-of-state visitors who spent $24.7 million in Utah. The festival contributed $33.5 million to the state's GDP, generated over $3 million in tax revenue, and created 419 jobs for Utah residents. Lorde called it the "coolest festival ever."
