Kid-friendly Halloween celebration with trick-or-treating, a costume parade, the Storytelling Witch, the Candy Cannon and take-home crafts.
Little Haunts is back at This Is The Place Heritage Park on Saturday, October 31, from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's a family-friendly Halloween celebration built for families who want to lean into the season without the scares, so it's a safe bet if you've got little ones who aren't quite ready for the spooky stuff.
The main draw is trick-or-treating through the Village, where you can wander from house to house with the kids and collect candy along the way. There's a costume parade to join in on, and the Storytelling Witch tells tales throughout the day. The Candy Cannon is another one of the highlights, and on Saturdays, Creature Encounters brings spiders, snakes and reptiles up close and personal. Costumes are highly encouraged, so it's a good excuse to get the whole family dressed up.
What makes it a full day is that the park's usual activities run right alongside the Halloween additions. You can still take the train rides, visit the petting zoo, go for pony rides and make take-home crafts, so the Halloween stuff is just one part of what's happening. If you're coming with kids, you can easily spend the whole morning and afternoon here without ever running out of things to do.
