Stand-up comedy show by comedian Jo Koy at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City.
Jo Koy is coming to the Eccles Theater on Saturday, April 17, 2027. He's one of the biggest stand-up names working right now, and his comedy comes from a place most of us recognize: his family. He builds his sets around his colorful relatives and his young son, and that observational style has taken him from clubs to sold-out arenas all over the world. He's a regular on the top ten grossing stand-up lists from Pollstar and Billboard year after year.
Looking at his run, the scale is pretty hard to wrap your head around. In 2024, he became the first comedian to sell out six shows at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. In 2022, he sold out Madison Square Garden, and in that same year he filled the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle and the Tacoma Dome. He's played the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, the ICC Theatre in Sydney, and the O2 Arena in London. In 2020, he was the first comedian to sell out the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, and back in 2017, he sold 23,000 tickets across 11 shows at The Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu — a run so big the city's mayor proclaimed November 24th 'Jo Koy Day.'
It's a long way from where he started. He got his beginning in a humble Las Vegas coffee shop in 1994, and later became a regular on Chelsea Lately's late-night show. That's the trajectory from coffee shop open mics to the biggest rooms in the world, and this is one of those dates that brings him through Salt Lake City.
