Holiday wreath-making workshops at Red Butte Garden where participants make a fresh wreath for their front door, with all materials provided.
Red Butte Garden is bringing back its annual holiday wreath-making workshops this December, with five different sessions to choose from in the Red Butte Garden Classroom. It's a straightforward way to kick off the season: you spend a few hours in the classroom and walk out with a fresh wreath for your front door.
They provide everything you need for the session, so you don't have to bring a thing. Each spot comes with fresh greens, a 16-inch wreath frame, paddle wire, and decorations. If you've never made one before, that's fineโthe whole point is to get it done right there in the class.
There are five dates to pick from, and they're spread across two weekends. The first is Saturday, December 5, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Then there's Sunday, December 6, and Friday, December 11, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The final two are Saturday, December 12, and Sunday, December 13, both from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Whether you're a morning person or prefer a weekday evening, there's a slot that fits.
Every week we pick ๐ the 5 best ๐ things to do in Salt Lake City and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

If you arrive early or want to hang around after, the Glass Art Show by the Glass Art Guild of Utah is on display in the Visitor Center gallery space, so you can catch that before or after your session. Registration for the 2026 workshops opens Wednesday, October 21, at 10:00 AM MT, and the garden publishes participant disclaimer and age guidelines for the sessions. A spot is $76 for Garden Members and $95 for the general public.
