Forbidden play The Urban Lounge with special guests Heathen and Void on their 'Chaos By Design' US tour.
Forbidden play The Urban Lounge on Sunday, October 25, as part of their Chaos By Design US tour. They're bringing along Heathen and Void as special guests, so it's a full bill of Bay Area metal. The show starts at 7 PM.
If you're not familiar with the name, Forbidden were godfathers of the Bay Area metal scene back in the day. They formed in the late 1980s and put out Forbidden Evil in 1988, followed by Twisted Into Form in 1990 and Distortion in 1994, before breaking up in 1997. They reunited in 2010 with Omega Wave, and then reformed again in 2023 with original members Craig Locicero and Matt Camacho alongside vocalist Norman Skinner.
They're touring a new album on BLKIIBLK Records—a 12-track, fierce, uncompromising and supremely progressive record. It's their first in over a decade and a half, and it's driven by founder and guitarist Craig Locicero and drummer Chris Kontos. The album marks the studio debut of vocalist Norman Skinner and features guest vocals from Mastodon's Brann Dailor and Kayla Dixon, plus a cover of Savatage's "Sirens." It was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland with Zack Ohren.
