Millennial Choirs & Orchestras are marking their 20th anniversary this December with Fall on Your Knees, a Christmas concert at Maurice Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City. It runs from Monday, December 7, through Wednesday, December 9, so you've got a few nights to choose from.
The production is built around the birth of Jesus Christ, and it's a big one: hundreds of children, youth, and adults perform together on stage, backed by a full symphony orchestra. The program mixes carols from around the world, holiday favorites, and original arrangements, moving from triumphant proclamations of Christ's birth to moments of reverence and stillness. It's the kind of show that works as much for the music as it does for the sight of that many voices filling the hall at once.
On the practical side, the show runs 100 minutes with no intermission, so you'll be in your seat for the whole thing without a break. It's recommended for ages 8 and up; infants aren't admitted, and everyone needs a ticket regardless of age. If you're taking public transit, your ArtTix ticket doubles as a UTA transit pass on the day of the show, which makes getting to the hall a bit easier.
