Utah's first environmentally sustainable immersive art labyrinth, with dream-inspired storytelling and interactive installations by more than 100 artists.
Dreamscapes is open at The Gateway (16 N Rio Grande St) through the end of October, with tickets available for Tuesday, October 27. It's a project of the Utah Arts Alliance, and they describe it as Utah's most imaginative art experience: a polychromatic labyrinth filled with dream-inspired storytelling, interactive installations, and mind-bending art, aimed at all ages.
What makes it more than just a walk-through is how it was put together. More than 100 visionary artists, builders, and audio-visual wizards worked on it, and it was built primarily from upcycled and recycled materials. That makes it Utah's first environmentally sustainable attraction, and the project has diverted tons of waste from landfills with support from partners like the Salt Palace Convention Center, Mountain America Expo Center, and Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The sustainability isn't just a footnote—it's part of the whole thing.
