Book celebration and talk by Dr. Melissa Bird about her new book 'Leading from the Heart', with signed copies available.
Dr. Melissa Bird is coming to The King's English Bookshop on Thursday, November 5, to talk about her new book, Leading from the Heart. Bird is a lay preacher, activist, and former Utah native, and the evening is built around the ideas she lays out in the book.
She frames intuitive leadership, community building, and joyful activism as part of what she calls a "Graceful Revolution." It's not the kind of leadership found in seven-habit lists or five-step frameworks. Instead, she points to something older and more honest: the recognition that we're all grieving, that we don't have all the answers, and that the "both/and" is richer than the "either/or." She challenges leaders, CEOs, policymakers, and anyone in a position of influence to let go of binary thinking and lead from the soul outward, treating it as both a spiritual practice and a collective act.
